May 17th Advisory:

TAKE ATTENDANCE

1. Please release all NHS members (current and new inductees) to the auditorium.

2. SPRING FLING BEGINS THIS FRIDAY! Student Council members may pop into your advisory to talk about Spring Fling Week. Advisors: please project and read these announcements:

3. The Talent Show will be held next Friday, May 25. The Talent Show line-up will be posted outside the choir room and in the media center tomorrow afternoon.

4. There will be a meeting for anyone interested in traveling to Italy in 2013, today, May 17, at 3:05 in Ms. Shreeve's room. If you can't make the meeting but are interested, see Ms. Shreeve for information.

5. Senior Advisors - please hand out "A & B Honor Roll" certificates and Academic Award certificates. These awards were put into your mailboxes on Wednesday.

**Attention Seniors: ** Why $29.00 for an iPad charger? That is the replacement cost at Apple. The cheaper, knockoff chargers are much slower and may damage the school's iPads.

6. Becker NHS is hosting a blood drive on June 15th from 9 to 3 at Becker High School. You will be able to sign up during advisory on May 24th. If you are 16, you need a parent form signed before you get a time slot. Forms can be picked up in Mrs. Olson's room (217). We really need people to sign up so please find out ASAP if you are able to donate and sign up next week!

7. NHS members will be coming around to advisories on May 24th to sign people up for the blood drive.


8. Advisory Challenge: Remember to collect $ for a well in Burkina Faso!



9. We are looking for students in grades 10-12 next year to be part of next year's Tech Squad. Please see Ms. Lorentz in the media center.

10. Juniors, Sophomores and Freshmen: If you did not get a chance to take our iPad survey, it will be open again today until 1:30. This is very important information that will help us plan for next year, so take it seriously. Thank you!

11. Attention Students:
**If we have enrolled you on our Remote Management System, it will look like the Restrictions are off of your iPad because we are now controlling them remotely. DO NOT unenroll yourself--we will know it AND you will not be able to get on the network. Do not touch the Restrictions and do not touch the App Store.

12. iPad turn-in information:
a. Seniors will turn in iPads and chargers during Advisory on May 24. A lost charger will result in a $29.00 fee that must be paid to the media center before checkout. ** Why $29.00? That is the replacement cost at Apple. The cheaper, knockoff chargers are much slower and may damage the school's iPads. iPads not turned in by 3pm on May 25 will be reported stolen, and will result in a $499.00 fee. If you don't need the iPad for any of your classes, please bring it--with the charger--to the media center ASAP.

b. Underclassmen will turn their iPads in during Advisory on May 31. You will keep your chargers over the summer. iPads not turned in by 3pm on May 31 will be reported stolen. For every day that we do not have your iPad, you will be without it for two days in the fall.

Introducing the iPad 'Blue' model

Any students caught with unauthorized apps or inappropriate content will be issued an "iPad Blue" for home use. Funny, huh? We're not laughing any more. We will take your iPad and keep it until we have time to wipe it and re-image it...and we are VERY BUSY.
